  • a) Every individual involved in the creation and/or delivery of CE course content must fill out a disclosure form detailing any existing financial or non-financial relationships that might be pertinent to the course.
  • b) The ASHA CE administrator meticulously examines these forms to evaluate the disclosed relationships and determine if they might impact the course.
  • c) Should any relationships be deemed relevant, the ASHA CE administrator will deeply analyze how they might affect the planning, management, presentation, or evaluation of the course.

Identification After Course Planning but Before Delivery (Requirement 3-2(b)):

  • a) TruePotential PLLC continually monitors to detect any new financial or non-financial relationships emerging after the planning phase but prior to course delivery.
  • b) Course participants are mandated to swiftly disclose any new financial or non-financial relationships that could influence the course content.
  • c) These new disclosures are reviewed and assessed for their potential impact on the course, in line with the procedures followed during the initial planning stage.

Non-Disclosure and Disqualification (Requirement 3-2(c)):

  • a) TruePotential PLLC underscores the importance of thorough and accurate disclosures from all involved in the CE course creation and/or delivery.
  • b) Those who choose not to complete the disclosure form or who neglect to provide necessary information will be barred from participating in any stage of the CE course, from planning to evaluation.
  • c) Individuals who are disqualified will have no oversight or responsibility related to the course to guarantee the educational content’s integrity and neutrality.

Process to Resolve Identified Conflicts of Interest

TruePotential PLLC is committed to addressing and resolving any conflicts of interest that might emerge during the planning and execution of our continuing education programs. Resolution through Disclosure (Requirement 3.2(d)(ii)):

  • a) When a conflict of interest is discerned but can be adequately addressed, TruePotential PLLC considers resolving the matter through proper disclosure.
  • b) The ASHA CE administrator deliberates if revealing the conflict to potential enrollees and attendees would sufficiently arm them with the insights required to take a well-informed call regarding their participation.
  • c) The conflict’s nature, its prospective influence on the course, and the merits of disclosing the same to alleviate concerns about potential bias are meticulously evaluated.

  • a) At the course’s commencement, TruePotential PLLC is committed to offering participants a detailed course introduction infused with a disclosure statement.
  • b) This statement notifies participants of the accessibility of information pertaining to the significant financial or non-financial ties of instructional personnel throughout the course’s duration.
  • c) Attendees are briefed on the significance of meticulously reviewing the shared information to attain a full grasp of potential biases influencing the course content.

Elements Included in Disclosures (Requirement 3.2(g)):

  • a) TruePotential PLLC certifies that the disclosed data encapsulates the following components:
    • i. Name of the instructional personnel: Every individual engaged in the course’s planning and/or presentation is distinctly named.
    • ii. Relevant financial ties: Affiliations with any financially linked organization are shared, coupled with a description specifying the nature of the financial connection.
    • iii. Non-financial associations: Associations with any organization sans a financial angle are revealed, complete with a description that elaborates on the kind of non-financial link.
    • iv. Proclamation of absence of relevant financial or non-financial ties: Should there be no significant financial or non-financial associations to divulge, it’s categorically declared.
